Terms and Conditions

The NICEIC Golf Classic 2011 is an amateur pair’s golf tournament available to NICEIC registered contractors, their employees and his/her accompanied guest. Competitors must have a CONGU handicap certificate issued by a golf club affiliated to one of the home unions and have paid the £80 per pair entry fee. You may enter more than one regional round; please complete a separate entry form if you intend playing in multiple events with a different partner at each event.

The competition is open to both male and female competitors at every regional round; the minimum age for entry is 18 years. There will be 8 regional rounds and the winning pair from each regional round will qualify for the final at Archerfield Golf Club in Edinburgh on 17th & 18th September 2011. The regional qualifying rounds will be a better ball stableford points competition. The handicap limit for both ladies and gentleman is 24 with 3/4 of handicap allowed.

Verification of handicap will be required with your entry form or please ensure you bring a current valid handicap certificate for both golfers to the venue on the day of the event. Should you not be able to produce a handicap certificate for both golfers on the day you will be allowed to participate in the event but will not be eligible for 1st 2nd or 3rd prize or qualify for the Archerfield Final. Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

Green fees and catering for tournament rounds are provided for competitors only. Travelling costs to the Grand Final at Archerfield Links for the winning pairs will be at the expense of the individual competitors. The NICEIC will provide airport transfers from Edinburgh Airport to Archerfield Links for any finalists who qualify for the final and elect to fly to Edinburgh to participate in the final. In the event of the winning NICEIC contractor and/or their guest being unable to participate in the final the next placed available pair in the regional round will take their place.

Information for competitors and the draw for starting times will be posted on the website and emailed out to competitors approximately 2 weeks prior to each regional round.

Should you have to withdraw after the draw has taken place the £80 entry fee is not refundable All stages of the tournament are held under the R&A Rules of Golf and the local rules of each golf course. The NICEIC and the event organisers disclaim all responsibility for forms which are lost, delayed or damaged in the post, or forms which arrive after the closing date.
